Objectives

Dharmishta Mithran was formed as a charitable organization under section 25 of the Companies Act,1956 (now Sec 8 under the Companies Act 2013) with the following objects :

 

  • To render assistance to the economically weak in the area of medicine and hospitalization, either for treatment or surgery.
  • To render assistance to the economically weak and the deserving in the area of education in the form of monetary assistance towards meeting expenses on account of school/college fees, boarding and lodging charges.
  • To render assistance to the needy and the economically weak in the realm of marriage by extending such help as would enable them to buy the mangalsutra and the requisite clothes for the marriage.
  • To raise volunteer corps to be of help and guidance to those wanting to perform the post death ceremonies for their dear departed. Financial assistance to be made available when sought.

As evident from the above, the Mithran endeavors to:

 

  1. Help the poor and the downtrodden
  2. Rekinde interest in the believers/members vis-à-vis moral, social and cultural decadence so that values are resurrected vis-a-vis moral, social and cultural ethos of our Faith.
  3. Encouraging participation by the public in each of the projects by the Mithran so that inhibitions and taboos attached to these funerals and aparkriyas are removed.

The Mithran is a non-commercial organization, and hence it needs to generate funds to meet its various commitments.
